In Utah’s high-cost resort areas, affordable housing options for working families are limited. To assist with the housing shortage, RCAC works with two organizations to provide affordable home ownership options.
RCAC works with eight rural nonprofit housing organizations in Utah through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Mutual Self-Help Housing Program to create opportunities for working families to access safe and affordable homes.
RCAC conducts Native American Water Masters Association (NAWMA) trainings for operator certification, sustainable utility management, and program information on funding and resources for Tribes.
RCAC targeted funding options for a drinking water project, conducted a series of public education meetings to gain support, secured $5.5 million, and assisted city leaders with a rate adjustment.
